About

Roberston Collectif specialize in residential and commercial architecture that is informed by the context of the site, the conditions of the environment and the dreams of our clients.

The studio was founded in 2016 by Liam Robertson who returned to the South Coast after 15 years studying and working in Canberra, ACT. Liam completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architecture in 2005 and a Masters of Architecture in 2008, both from University of Canberra. Liam registered as an architect in the ACT (Registration no. 2465) in 2011 and in NSW (Registration no. 9960) in 2013. Alongside Liam, a small team of architecture graduates and designers oversee each project from the early sketches and concept design through the planning approval and costing phase to project management and oversight of construction, ensuring smooth processes and positive outcomes.

Based in Gerroa, our team have an innate understanding of the local area and the unique conditions of the South Coast region, ranging from the harsh weather fronts that sweep the coastline to flame-zone rated bushfire areas through the mountains. We have fostered strong and effective relationships with local builders, craftspeople, and suppliers and these relationships support the successful delivery of our projects.

Our architectural philosophy centres on the belief that architecture is a dynamic response to both individuals and their surroundings. This ideology drives us to continually explore diverse design solutions that are tailored to the unique needs of each project. We navigate the complexities of the built environment to create high quality, responsive spaces for living, working, and enjoying.
